I do not often post with petitions and articles and the like since there's not that many issues that move me enough to do so. Most of you likely are not even aware of an important law about to pass in the United States. Especially if you are not an American you likely think this will not affect you, but in fact if you like porn, adult sites, all that good stuff, this law will impact the internet as a whole and stifle people creatively, endanger sex workers, stifle their very rights to even speak their minds.
As of May 1, if you use Skype for any sort of cam sex, even typing cyber sex chats, your account can be banned immediately. This is greatly affecting ones that use Skype for their own masturbation fun, cam girls, all sorts of people.

This week Backpage was taken offline completely, since most of the sites traffic was due to its personals section. The owner of Backpage is now in jail. The Craigslist personals section was also shut down. The large fetish site FetLife has made many sweeping changes, this will affect the entire internet in one way or another and I think most people here value their freedoms. Imagine if Tumblr, Twitter, had all adult content erased overnight, this is the freedom of speech being chipped away at site by site.
